You want him to feel what you feel.
You want so badly for him to feel what you’re going through. You want him to feel the pain of your broken heart.
How could he do this to you? How could he be OK that he did what he did to you? You don’t see the role you played. You can’t. You can only look to him. After all, he did this to you, whatever this may happen to be.
He led you on. He promised so much. Until it all fell apart. Until he let you down.Continue Reading
It’s the simplest thing.
It all begins simply by noticing. Noticing.
You have to stop long enough to notice if you’re going to see anything different at all. Your soft skin, your silky hair, your beautiful eyes.
Your strong arms. Your long legs.
Brushing each strand of your gorgeous, sensuous hair in long, broad, strokes.
Consciously noticing.
You’re calling him strong, and yourself weak.
You’re looking at him as being so strong that he can walk away as easily as he does, and then yourself as weak for not being able to do the same. You think he’s strong. You think of yourself as weak.
Because you need him. And he doesn’t need you.
So you equate that with your being the needy one, the weak one who needs someone.
And the ones who don’t need anyone, you call them strong.Continue Reading

When it’s over. When the reality that this new place is worse than you thought it would be. When you long for the old reality that at least you knew.

I'm beginning to think no one's ever seen you.
Not for who you really are. Not for all you have to offer.
You've never let the ones who can see you have the chance to see you.
That's what this is really about.
You have no idea.
Really, you don't.
These ones who give you only a fleeting glimpse of yourself, are the same ones that are never capable of being anything more than what works for them. And that's why it's so brief.
Just long enough to give you a taste, and then it's gone.
