It's exhausting.
This search.
The journey to be or become whatever it is you think you've been missing that will finally bring you happiness, that will finally bring you life.
What if it's not about finding or seeking but about living in alignment with your heart?
What if it's not about finding any one person as much as finding your way back to yourself?
Give up the search. Give up the trying and find a place to just be.
Start with a clean slate. Start with where you are today.
What inspires you?
What brings a smile to your face?
What gives you a sense of peace?
What calms your soul in the midst of all those storms?
What if all you focus on is going there, being there, setting up a time for yourself in those places?
Figuratively or literally, in whatever ways you can, what would that look like in the smallest of first steps in those directions?
Break it down to make it easier to see your way.
One step at a time until you see more and clearer from the next step along your way.
Let's not make this so complicated.
Your soul is weary enough from all the striving to get it all figured out just right! Take a deep breath.
Just one step for today, Beautiful.
I'm with you in this first one - and every other step of the way!
Love,
Jane
You bet you're exhausted. And you have every right to be! Let's share what calms our souls in the midst of those storms in the comments below. Who else could use a little inspiration from a kindred heart today?

You have absolutely NO idea how much your reading has just lifted my spirit and my oh so heavy heart. Like it was written just for me.
Thank you Jane!!! xoxo

Oh Sonja, I'm so glad. I always believe I write for someone. You're so very welcome and I can't tell you how much it means to me to hear this from you! Thank you!

What brings me peace is my family, knowing that they will always be there for me no matter what! This search is really tiring and exhausting, what gives me peace is knowing that there is absolutely nothing wrong with me, i have learnt that from this blog of yours Jane, I also come here when I want to escape from the world, reading the stories from other women and the wisdom that you and other women in here share is what keeps me going.
I know my worth and I will not settle for less than I deserve. And oh I also love listening to music and singing along to my favorite songs especially in the mornings when I'm stuck in traffic going to work, I sing and laugh by myself and it makes me feel good!
Thank you so much for always reminding us that we need to take a deep breathe and just live in the moment.
Jane says
I'm so glad you have your family, Lolly. Thanks for sharing. And I'm also honored to be able to provide you with some respite from the world, to be reminded of your worth. Keep on singing!

Dancing is my passion. I don’t know what’s going on with me but I’ve been feeling so happy and ease in the past year. Finding someone is not as important as it was before. I’m going out on dates yet but with no expectations at all. And I feel as happy staying home watching a show as I’d be going out with someone. I also am focusing on moving to another state and opening my own business. Not too long ago I asked myself a question: what if you never find someone to be in a relationship with? And the answer just soothes my soul: I’ll be fine with or without you. Love to y’all

Dancing has always been a passion of mine, too, Odara. And I love your answer to yourself. Thanks for sharing. There is something about finding what soothes us over trying to figure out what we're doing wrong. Love to you, too!
