It’s what we’re all looking for. Getting to TRUE Love is about just that – showing you how and where to find the love that you want.

I’m just a woman who really gets what it’s like to be looking for that one elusive true love that you can never seem to find. And I’m here to tell you that it does happen, it can happen for you, and the good news is that it’s completely under your control.

I know because it happened for me - I've been happily married to the man of my dreams for over a decade now.

But before that I was stuck in a never ending cycle of bad relationship after bad relationship, doing all the wrong things and attracting all the wrong guys.  Until I learned the simple secrets to attracting my own one true love.

I want to share with you what I've learned, and give you the tools to attract the perfect man into your life, so that you can have the kind of happiness that I've found.

I Was Just Like You

Just like you, I wondered what was wrong with me, why I couldn’t seem to get it right, why nothing that the experts told me to do was working, why I seemed to be the only one not figuring it out. Why I was still single. Still.

And just like you, I had tried everything. Looked everywhere, went to all the “right” places. Joined all the “right” things. And just like you, I was attractive, intelligent, sexy, fun-loving, and desirable. Just like you.

That’s why I created this website. Because of you. Because you remind me of myself not so long ago. Because I was just like you.

With hopes and dreams. And disappointments and fears. Everywhere you’ve been in your relationships, I’ve been there, too. On that begging end. On the heartbreak side of love. And like you, not just once. I didn’t learn my lesson the first time either.  I’ve been in the worst of relationships. Over and over again.

But my story doesn’t end there and it doesn’t have to for you either. Because from that heartbroken, love-blinded side of the heart that you know all too well, there’s a whole other side just waiting for you to discover; the real “happily ever after” side that you only dream about right now.  The side that you don’t know at all, that you’re starting to believe doesn’t exist. That’s the side I’m on now. With the true love of my life. The One.

About Me

I’m the one previously single woman who’s been there in every sense of the word.

Now happily married to the man of my dreams for almost a decade, I was on the begging end of one-sided relationships for most of my dating history.

I know firsthand, all too well, what it’s really like to lose all hope of ever getting it right. From trying to meet “the One” while selling shoes at the local mall (where I learned a lot about people, but not about meeting Mr. Right), to going to all the hip nightclubs just in case “the One” was there (he wasn’t), I’ve been through all of the drama the dating scene has to offer.

I’ve always had a penchant for helping people through tough times; as a young woman I regularly volunteered on a Suicide Prevention hotline and conducted Suicide Prevention workshops for teens in local high schools.

Like most people, I’ve always wanted to make a difference in the world; to somehow affect the human condition in such a way that would make a positive difference in the way people live their lives. I’ve always had a heart for the underdog – from the student who’s picked last when choosing teams, to the little lost dog that followed me home all covered in oil.

From the teenage girl who has sex too soon because she just wants to be loved, to the teenage boy who’s so uncomfortable in his own skin, trying so hard to fit in that he doesn’t even know who he really is anymore. I’ve always wanted to help people find and understand that little girl and boy inside all of us, just wanting to be loved, to be understood, to feel like we have worth.

While studying at Simon Fraser University in Vancouver, British Colombia, I dreamed of becoming a counselor to help other women like me to build and retain their self-esteem. As fate would have it, I finished my degree just before the birth of my first child, at which point I became a stay at home mom (a decision that I have never regretted!)

Now that my children are able to function fairly well on their own, I find myself yearning again to help others through understanding and counseling. While I’m not interested in working full time, even from home, I’m able to steal a few precious moments here and there (most of my posts are written at night after the kids are asleep) and get some thoughts down in the hopes of these words reaching someone who needs to know there is someone out there who understands what they’re going through.

I’m originally from Vancouver, British Columbia.  After living for a while in Southern California, I'm now back in the beautiful Pacific Northwest in the state of Washington. Enjoying all of the wondrous, serene beauty that nature has given us with my soul mate of a husband, two spirited, joyful children, and two cuddly, fluffy little dogs. In the process of living happily ever after.
